Why Did We Start Prithvirooh?

Prithvirooh started with a very simple thought — we were tired of eating ghee that didn't feel genuine.

For us, ghee was never just another product sitting on a kitchen shelf. It was something we grew up eating and something we believed should be pure, natural, and made with care. But over time, we found ourselves questioning the quality and authenticity of the ghee available to us.

We often wondered:

“If we can't confidently say where our ghee came from, how can we confidently serve it to our family?”

That question stayed with us.

Instead of simply looking for another brand, we decided to take a different approach:

If we couldn't find the kind of pure ghee we wanted, why not make it ourselves?

And that is where the journey of Prithvirooh began.

From Our Kitchen to Your Home

In the beginning, we weren't thinking about building a large business.

We simply wanted to make ghee that we ourselves could trust and consume without second-guessing it.

We started making our ghee with a focus on traditional methods and natural ingredients. Once we were satisfied with what we were making, we started sharing it with people we knew — friends, relatives, neighbours, and people within our circle.

The response was something we never expected.

People tried it.

They came back to us.

They told us what they liked about it.

And most importantly, they trusted us enough to recommend it to someone else.

One customer introduced us to another. Then another. Slowly, our small circle began growing.

We realised something important:

People weren't just looking for another ghee brand. They were looking for something they could trust.

And that trust became the foundation of Prithvirooh.

We Didn't Build Prithvirooh Through Big Promises

We built it through people actually trying our products.

We believe that when a product is genuinely good, you shouldn't have to convince someone with complicated words.

Let them try it.

Let them experience it.

Let them decide.

Our customers became our biggest source of motivation. Their feedback, reviews, suggestions, and recommendations helped us understand what people actually wanted.

Every time someone told us:

"This tastes like the ghee we remember from home."

or

"I can actually feel the difference."

it reminded us why we started in the first place.

We wanted to make products that we could confidently use in our own home, and then share those same products with yours.

Why the Name Prithvirooh?

For us, Prithvirooh represents our connection with the earth, nature, and traditional living.

We believe that many things our previous generations valued — natural ingredients, traditional processes, respect for cows, and making the most out of what nature provides — still have a place in modern life.

That philosophy gradually became bigger than just ghee.

While building Prithvirooh, we began exploring traditional products made using cow dung and other natural materials.

Rather than treating these as something ordinary or waste, we wanted to bring attention to their traditional uses and create products around them with care.

This eventually led us to expand beyond ghee.

More Than Just Ghee

Our journey started with ghee, but our purpose was always bigger:

To bring back a connection with natural and traditional products.

As we learned more, we discovered how many traditional practices have slowly disappeared from everyday life.

Products made from cow dung, for example, have been part of Indian traditions for generations. They have been used in homes, rituals, agriculture, and various traditional practices.

We wanted to present some of these products in a way that fits today's homes while respecting the traditions behind them.

So, alongside our ghee, we started introducing carefully made products using cow dung and other natural materials.

Our goal isn't to create hundreds of products just for the sake of having a bigger catalogue.

We want every product we introduce to have a reason behind it.

Our Belief: Keep It Honest

At Prithvirooh, we believe trust cannot be manufactured.

A beautiful package can attract someone's attention.

A good advertisement can bring someone to your website.

But only the product can make someone come back.

That's why we want our products to speak for themselves.

We want to be transparent about what we make, how we make it, and what goes into it.

We don't want to make exaggerated promises just to sell another jar of ghee.

Instead, we want to build something that grows slowly — one satisfied customer at a time.

Our Journey So Far

What began as a personal effort to find better ghee has gradually become a growing community of people who share the same belief.

We made it for ourselves.

Then we shared it with people we knew.

They tried it.

They liked it.

They trusted us.

They recommended it.

And today, those recommendations continue to introduce Prithvirooh to new homes.

For us, that means more than sales.

It means someone trusted us enough to put something we made on their family's dining table.

And we don't take that trust lightly.

Who Runs Prithvirooh?

Prithvirooh is run by two partners:

Together, we are responsible for building Prithvirooh, from selecting what we make and how we make it to listening to customer feedback and continuously improving what we offer.

We don't see ourselves as just the people behind the brand.

We are also customers of our own products.

The same standards we expect for our own home are the standards we want to maintain for yours.

What We Want Prithvirooh to Become

We don't want Prithvirooh to be known simply as another brand selling ghee.

We want it to become a place where people can discover genuine, thoughtfully made products inspired by Indian traditions and nature.

From traditionally made ghee to products made from cow dung and other natural materials, we want to keep exploring the connection between nature, tradition, and everyday life.

And as we grow, one thing should never change:

The reason we started.

We were looking for something we could trust.

We couldn't find it.

So we decided to make it ourselves.
